The AI reads medical reports and images straight from the clinical system and proposes matching billing codes — case by case, as a list of suggestions. For each suggestion the billing clerk has exactly three options: accept, adjust, discard. There is no fourth. The machine pre-sorts, the judgement stays with the human.

Just as important as what the AI does is what it does not do: Sensitive data never leaves the building. No export, no upload into outside systems — the analysis runs where the records already sit. For patient data that is not a bonus, it is the entry condition.

Billing is rule-based checking work: a lot of reading, a lot of matching, clear criteria. That is exactly where the machine is fast and tireless. But it carries no liability, and it does not know the individual case — which is why it does not decide either. Every suggestion is marked as a suggestion, every code needs sign-off. That is not a technical limitation but a rule — the same rule my own business runs on.
